Arch Systems drops its objections to how its proposal was evaluated for the $8 billion small business vehicle.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration has a clear path to making the final round of awards for its $8 billion ProTech 2.0 contract vehicle after the lone protester withdrew its challenge.
Arch Systems’ protest involved NOAA's primary contract for acquiring program and project management support, scientific services, and engineering services from small businesses. ProTech is short for Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
The company was pursuing a spot on the Weather domain, the last of four to be awarded. The others are Oceans, Fisheries, and Satellites.
Arch Systems' withdrawal clears the way for NOAA to make its final awards. The contract has a five-year base, followed by a five-year option period.
Companies are not required to state why they are withdrawing their protest. Arch Systems officials did not respond to a request for comment.
