This purchase is Tyto Athene's second during the past 12 months to focus on cyber.
Tyto Athene has acquired a provider of cloud and security automation software tools in a move to further build its portfolio in federal IT and cybersecurity services.
StackArmor was founded by Gaurav “GP” Pal in 2016 to design products that help government agencies and the industrial base accelerate their compliance with security standards at the federal and state levels.
With StackArmor in its fold, Tyto is also looking to bolster its delivery of continuous monitoring and authority-to-operate solutions for the public sector and regulated industries. Terms of the transaction announced Thursday were not disclosed.
For Tyto, this acquisition represents its second during the past 12 months to focus on cyber. Tyto’s purchase of MindPoint Group added a significant presence at the Justice Department and a managed security operations center offering.
Tyto and StackArmor cited examples of key government standards they focus on as including:
- Criminal Justice Information Services
- Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification
- Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement
- Federal Information Security Management Act
- FedRAMP
- Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act
- National Institute of Standards and Technology
